Patients to America

Through the medical brigades, children have been identified who require surgery that is not available to them in Honduras. Children with spina bifida, an invasive face tumor, a complex broken back, and severe scoliosis have come to the United States for surgery. The medical care provided for them produces a tremendous positive transformation in their quality of life, if not in their very survival.
Fundamentals of the Program
  • Patients are identified in the field and screened. If their medical anomaly can not be cared for in Honduras, plans are made to bring them to the States for specialized medical care.
  • Help is needed in identifying doctors, surgeons, and hospitals that will care for these people in need.
  • Especially needed are logistics coordinators, sponsors, and families that will host these patients during their course of treatment.
